Overview

Kuttankulangara Sree Mahavishnu Temple is situated near Punkunnam railway station, in the north-west of Thrissur - the cultural capital of Kerala. Though the temple is believed to be around 700 years old, it gained the people's attention only 40 years ago. Besides the presiding deity of Lord Sree Mahavishnu, the temple houses the deity of Goddess Bhagavathi and Lord Vinayaka. There is also 'Sarpakavu' in the corner of the temple. Over a period, apart from the local residents, people from far away places also worship this temple and carry with them the blessings of Lord Sree Mahavishnu and Goddess Bhagavathi.
